RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS
OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 6,
1956.
WHEREAS, this City Council by Ordinance No.
NS-203 called a special bond election to be held in the
City of Santa Aha on November 6, 1956, and said bond
election was duly consolidated with the statewide
general election held upon the same date; and
WHEREAS, the city bond proposition voted upon
at said special bond election is as follows, to wit:
CITY OF SANTA ANA LIBRARY BONDS:
Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a
bonded indebtedness in the principal
sum of $700,000 for the acquisition and
construction by said city of a certain
municipal improvement, to wit: a public
library building with vehicle parking
therefor and the planting and landscaping
of the library grounds, including the
acquisition of furnishings, fixtures,
equipment and other property necessary
therefor?
and
WHEREAS, a copy of the record as entered on the
minutes of the Board of Supervisors of Orange County show-
ing the results of the canvass of the returns of said
special bond election and the absentee votes cast thereat,
has been duly received.

the votes cast upon said proposition and for and against said

carried and this City Council is duly authorized to issue bonds
