RESOLUTION NO. 57-71 GRANTING VARIANCE
OF EARL G. SAWYER, VARIANCE NO. 8?4,
W~RE PLA~NNING COI~ISSION REC0~ENDED
DENIAL
WHEREAS, heretofore on application No. 874, the Planning
Con~uission held a regular hearing and recommended to the City
Council that the request for a variance be denied; and
W~TEREAS, after hearing and consideration of the facts, the
City Council finds that special circumst2nces exist, and property
rights allowed to other properties are denied to this property
and that said variance should be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council here-
by grants a variance to apply to property in the City of Smta Ana,
California described as Lot 10, Block R, Tract No. 289, as per ~ap
recorded in Book 14, Page 8, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, to permit the use of said lot as a parking lot
in conjunction with the lot immediately adjacent thereto facing on
Main Street, on condition that:
1. Owner replace ~proximately 200 feet of broken sidewalk
adjacent thereto.
2. That said lot be improved mud maintained during its uae
for a parking lot, to comply with all of the requirements
of Section 9107.11 of the S~ta Aha Municipal Code.
PASSED AlfD ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on t he 1st day of April, 19~7.
