HomeMy WebLinkAbout57-073RESOLUTION NO. 57-73 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF POINSETTIA STREET BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND THE SANTA ANA FREE- WAY AND FIXING TI~E AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, after study, the Planning Commission and the Director of Public Works have recommended vacation of that portion o f Poin- settia Street lying adjacent to the Santa Aha Freeway, and South of Seventeenth Street, excepting the northerly ten (10) feet there- of, and the City Council, after study, has concluded that the same may be unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and has caused a Map thereof to be prepared; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Map attached hereto is hereby approved and adopted, and ordered filed with and as a part of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said Map for particulars and exact details as to this p~oposed street vacation, and the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon, as a public street, that portion of Poinsettia Street in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot l, Block 10, Resubdivision of Blocks l0 and ll, Santa Aha East, as per Map thereof recorded in Book a4, Page 76 of Mis- cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South along the ?~est line of said Lot l, South 0° 54' 58" East, 20 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing South 0° 54' 58" East 87.24 feet; thence North 44° 30' 58" West 52.48 feet; t~ence North 0° 09'.10" East 49.90 feet; thence South 80 50' 50" East 34.89 feet, more or less, to the true point of be- ginning. BE IT FUR~qER RESOD;ED: That the 6th day cf May, 1957, at the hour of 7:30 O'clock P.M. on said day, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 3rd and Main Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, Cal- ifornia, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all per- sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of a por- tion of Poinsettia Street; that the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with this street vacation under the pro- visions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and That the Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution in the mmner prescribed by law for the publishing of Ordinances of the City, and the Director of Public Works is hereby ordered to post conspicuously along the lines of said portion of Poinsettia Street herein proposed to be vacated, at least l0 days before the date of smd hearing, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing; such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 shall be posted ~ ong said street herein proposed to be vacated.
