HomeMy WebLinkAbout57-097RESOLUTION NO. 57~97 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO T~ OF SANTA ANA OF T~AT CER- TAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HE~tEIN AND DESIGNATED "MABt~RY ANII~ NO. 3", AND GIVING NOTICE 0F TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS ~EREO~ WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of sanexation and the Planning Comm~ission of Santa Aha has approved said annexation; and WHEREAS, the owners of said real p~ope~ty have filed a peti- tion with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Ss~ta Aha, California, annex said real property, and stating that the same is uninhabited; NOW, THEREF0~E, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said terri- tory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on April 8, 1957, the date when said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Smuts A.ua, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Mabury Street with the westerly extension of the South line of Fruit Street (4© feet wide), said point being on the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; running thence easterly along said westerly extension and said south line of Fruit Street an~ its easterly extension to the east line of Tustin Avenue (60 feet wide); thence northerly along said east line of Tustin Avenue to its intersection with the easterly extension of the north line of Lot 5, Mabury Tract, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 165, Page 300, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County; thence westerly along said easterly extension and North line of said Lot 5 and along the North line of Lot 6 and its westerly extension of said Mabury Tract, to the center line of Mabury Street and said City boundary of Santa Aha; thence southerly along said center line of Mabury Street and al cng said City boundary to the point of be~nning. That said Council hereby designates 'rMa~bury Annex No. 3" as an appropriate naEe for said annexation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that June 3rd , 1957, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is the time a~d place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by shy person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest should state the owner's name and, in general teens, a description and area of the property owned.
