The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aaa, resolve and declare as follows: Resolved, That it is the intention of the Gtty of Santa Ama , to order the to be do~e to-wit: That the roadway of West ~ifth street, the ~ast lime of Garnsey stree~ to the West does of the Board of Trustees following street work in said city from line of Bakor street be paved ?! th a cement concrete~base 4 inches thickness, and a wearmn~ surface of asphalt coacrete of 1~ inches thickness, according to the plane, profiles and specifications for said work o~ West ~ifth street, adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aaa on the' 6th day of Jsmuary, 1914. gxce~timg from the afore described work the paving of the roadway of said West ?ifth ~treet already done upoa it ia the official grade of street, amd~cordtng to the same e~ecif~caticns adopted by said hoard on said 6th day of ~anuary,1914. All of ~he before described work shall be doae in accordance with the plane, profiles sad epecificatdons r~ade therefore by the City Mngineer of the City of Santa Aaa, known as Specifications No. 8~, which plams, profiles and specifications were filed in the office of the City Clerk of the Ofty o~ Santa Aaa , on the 6th day of January,1914, aad remained om file thereiz as the plans, profiles and s~ecifications according to which said worh should be done. It is hereby detern~imed i~ pursuance of an Act of the ~eg~slature of the State of California, entitled : "An Act to pro- vide a system of street i~provement bonds to represent certain &as~ss~ents for the cost of street work cad improvement within municipalities and also for the payment of such bonds" approved February ~7,1895, as thereafter ameaded . That bonds shall be issued to represent asseesmaats of Twenty-five Dollars ($S8) or over for the cost of said improvement, Said bonds shall be serial, extending over a poriod of nine years from the Ed d~? of Jamuary, aext Succeeding the date of issue thereof, an even pro- portion of the principal sum of which shall be payable annually, on the Ed day of January of each year, by coupon, after their date until the whole are paid, and to bear interest a t the rate of seven per cent per annum, payable semi-annually by coupon on the Sd day of July aad on the 2dday of January respectively of each and every year. The "~ven~ng Blade" is hereby designated as the daily newspaper published amd circulated in said city, iQ which this Resolution of Imtention amd the 9treet Superimtendent's Notice of the passage thereof shall be published.
