RZSOLVZD, by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, that Seventh Street in the Wolcott Addition as recorded in Book 30, page 5E of Miscellaneous Records in Los Angeles County, California, be and the ean~e is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that the property included in said Seventh Street ~o abandoned and vacated attach to the property on the North and South of said Seventh Street and belong to the owner of the land on the North mM South sides thereof, and said Board adopt the mai~ of the Montgomery Tract showing said Wolcott Addition after the vacation of Seventh Street and reduction to acreage. A Resolution of Intention of the Board of Trustees ~ of the 0ity of Santa Ana, to install street lamps on Fourth Street from Mortimer Street to Roes Street, and on Main Street from Second Street to Sixth Street, and to Assess the cost of installing the same to the real property, and fixing an assessment district of the lots and lands to be benefitted by said improvement, pursuant to the provisions of Act 3040, 0ha~er 252, of the laws of the State of 0alifornia, approved March 21st, 1905, and as amended and approved June 6th 1913, Statutes of 191~, page 421. The Board of Trustees of the 0ity of Santa Ana does declare and resolve as follows:- Resolved, that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the 0ity of Santa Aha to order the following street work done: The purchase and installation of electric lamps con- sisting of standards or posts and all lamps and appliances includ- ing globes, conduits, wiring and all of the necessary appurtenances required to put said lamps in order for the turning on of electric current for the purpose of lighting said lamps and for all work and repairs incidental thereto that may be required for a period of two years from the date of the installation of said lamps. It is further Resolved, and herein provided, that said lamps shall be installed in the following locations and in number as follows:- One row on each side of Fourth Street from the West side of Mortimer Street to the East side of Ross Street and one row on each side of Main Street from the North side of Second Street to the South side of Sixth Street, and in each case shall consist of three lamps or clusters to the block on each side of the Street; one at each corner and one in the center or as near said locations as may be practicable. ~aid lamps to consist of one or more lights in the discretion of the Board. It is further Resolved, that the following assessment district be prescribed and designated as against the real property therein contained, an assessment shall be made to pay the costs and expenses of the purchase and installation of said lamps and the appurtenances thereto, and to pay the repairs for maintaining the same for a period of two years from the date of the installation of said lamps according to and in proportion to the benefits to be derived thersfrc~ as follows:- 0on~encing at a point in the center line of Mortimer Street 125 feet North of the North line of Fourth Street, thence West parallel to the North line of East Fourth Street to a point 12§ feet East of the East line of North Main Street, thence North para- llel to the East line of North Main Street to the center line of East Sixth Street, thence West parallel to Sixth Street to a point in the center line of West Sixth Street 125 feet West of the West line of North Main Street, thence South parallel to the West line of North Main Street to a point 125 feet North of the North line of West Fourth 41 Street; thence West parallel to the North line of West Fourth Street to the center line of North Ross Street; thence South parallel to Ross Street in the center line thereof 125 feet South of the South line of West Fourth Street;thence ~ast para- loll to the South line of West Fourth Street t~ the center line of North Broadway, thence North in the center line of North Broadway to a point 105 feet South of the South line of West Fourth Street~ thence East parallel to the South line of West Fourth Street to a point 125 feet ~est~:cf the West line of North Main Street; thence South parallel to the West line of South Main Street to the center of West Second Street; thence East along the center line of Second Street to a point 12§ feet ~ast of the ~ast line of North Main Street; thence North parallel to the East line of North Main Street to a point 105 feet South of the South line of East Fourth Street; thence East parallel to the South line of East Fourth Street to the center of Bush Street; thence South in the center of Bush Street to a point 125 feet South of the South line of East Fourth Street; thence East parallel to the South line of East Fourth Street to a point in the center line of French Street; thence North in the center of l~rench Street to a point 1E4 ft. and ~ in. South of the South line of East Fourth Street; thence East parallel to the South line of East Fourth Street to the intersec- tion of the center line of Mortimer Street produced; thence North to the center line of Mortimer Street at the point of beginning. It is further resolved, that the City ~ngineer make and file with the 0ity 01erk for the use of the Board of Trustees and for the purposes of this improvement a report in writing presenting the following information: 1, Plans and specifications A general description of the necessary property for the installation of said street lamps including posts, lamps, globes, conduits, wiring and all appliances necessary for the full and complete construction, installation and maintenance of said lighting system. 2. Estimate of cost. An estimate of the cost of said improvement and all incidental expenses in connection with the installation of the same and the cost of repairs and maintenance,(0ther than elec- tric current) for the period of two years from the date of install- ation of the same. $. A diagra~ showing the assessment district above referred to and the boundaries and dimensions of the respec- tive subdivisions of land within said district as the same existed at the time of the passage of this ~esolution of Intention, each of which subdivisions shall be given a separate number in red ink upon said diagram. 4.Assessment according to benefits. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the cost and expenses of the proposed improvement upon the several subdivisions of land in said district in proportion to the est~ma~d benefits to be received by such subdivision respectively from said improvements, and said assessment shall refer to such subdivision under said diagram by the respective red ink numbers thereof and shall show the names the owners if known, otherwise designate the~ as unknown. It is hereby determined in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled: "Am Act to provide for the lighting of public streets, lanes, alleys, courts and places in municipalities and for the assessment of the costs and expenses thereof upon the property benefitted thereby," approved March~.lst, 1905, and amended and approved June 6th,191~, to acquire and estab- lish an assessment district as heretofore indicated and to assess the real property therein contained and described according to th~ bene- fits to be derived from said improvement, and to take such other and further proceedure as shall be deemed necessary for the full and com- plots installation of the same and the assessment and levy and coil- eotion of assessments against the above property to the extent that I~ the same shall be benefitted thereby to meet the necessary expendi- turem therefor as provided by the above Act or Acts of the laws of the State of California. I Resolved, that the City Clerk is hereby directed, to . publish this Resolution of Intention once in the "Evening Blade" a ¸42, newspaper of genera/ circulation in the 0ity of santa Ana, and thereupon and thereafter it shall take effect and be in force.
