VARIOUS HOURS AND DAt~ AT CERTAIN SCHOOLS AS SPECIAL
BUS STANDS AND SPECIAL SIGNS AT SUCN LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, the Santa Aha Council of Churches has for several years,
by agreement with the Santa Ana Schools, maintained and carried on a
program known as Released Time Christian Education by the use of
mobile classrooms, consisting of a large trailer and a bus, for the
accommodation of students selecting this elective education program;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move said mobile equipment from
one school to another and to have, immediately adjacent to said
schools, adequate curb parking available for said mobile equipment;
NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED: that the following spaces are
hereby reserved and set aside for this public service during those
special times and on those special days set out next hereinbelow:
1. A curb area of not less than 50 feet, as follows:
(a) Monday - Wilson School - 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., on Baker
Street, 1300 block, South side of street.
(b) Tuesday - Hoover School - 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., on East
Santa Clara, 400 block, South side of street.
(c) Wednesda~ - Santiago School - 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. on
North Baker, 2200 block, West side of street.
(d) Thursday - Washington School - 8 A.M. to 12 Noon, on
South Flower, 2200 block, East side of street.
Santiago School - 12:30 P.M. to 5 P.M., on
North Baker, 2200 block, West side of street.
(e) Friday - Washington School - 8 A.M. to 12 Noon, on
South Flower, 2200 blOck, East side of street.
Lincoln School - 12:30 P.M. to 5 P.M., on
French Street, 1400 block, East side of street.
2. A curb area of not less than 35 feet, as follows:
(a) Monday - Monte Vista School - 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., on
Monte Vista, 2000 block, South side of street.
(b) Tuesday - Edison School - 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., on Maple,
2000 block, West side of street.
(c) Wednesday - McKinley School - 8 A.M. to 12 Noon, 3rd
Street (West), 900 block, South side, street.
(d) Thursday - Diamond School - 8 A.M. to 12 Noon, West
Edinger Street, 13000 block, North side, street.
Paularino School - 12:30 PM to 5 P.M., on
Paularino Street.
(e) Friday - Lowell School - 8 A.M. to 12 Noon, on West
Bishop, 900 block, South side of street.
John Muir School - 12:30 P.~{. to 5 P.M., on
North McClay Street, 400 block, West side of
street ·
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that s~ d areas shall be appropriately
marked and posted with signs 12" x 18" in size, to consist of red and
black letters on a white background, which said si~s sh~l bear the
legend "No Park~g Between Signs", ~d shall contain a statement of
the day and hours when pa~ing is prohibited; that two of these signs
shall be posted at eac~ location at a maxlm~ diet, ce of 70 feet
apart; that said signs ~d posts shall be supplied by the Board of
Released Time Christian Education; that each of said signs shall be
mounted at ~ast 5 feet above the top of the curb; that the Police
Department sha~ approve the location of these si~s, and by this
~thority shall~e the selection of ~e curb area under the ~thor-
ity of Section 3227 of the S~ta A~ N~icipal Code; and
BE IT FURTHER ~SOLVED, that no person shall park or leave
standing ~y vehicle or thing adjacent to the curb on the street side
between said signs after the said signs have been posted, as herein
directed, except said mobile equipmen~ duri~ the hours herein set out.
