CERTAIN HEAL PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENIN~
AND HALLADAY STREET
WHEREAS, Delhi Road and Halladay Street as they now exist are
inadequate in width to accommodate the present and future demands of
traffic thereon, and heretofore the City of Santa Aha, California,
by Resolution No. 57-267 authorized the condemnation of certain par-
cels of property on said Streets as neceasary for the widening there-
of, and at the time said Resolution was adopted there was indication
that the parcels hereinbelow described would be obtained by negotia-
tion and/or gift; that said area is included within the boundaries
of Assessment District 197, under which said City will do certain
street work, and the easements across the properties herein below
have been unduly delayed and must now be obtained;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of S~ta Ana
does hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity
require that Delhi Road a~ d Halladay Street be widened in the loca-
tions hereinbelow described to accommod'ate present and future traffic
demands thereon, and further require that the City do have, take and
acquire an easement for street purposes in and over those parcels
of land in the City of Santa Ana described as follows:
For the widening of Halladay Street -
PARCEL la. The easterly 15.50 feet of the southerly 162.50
feet of the most easterly portion of Lot l, Block 2, Tract
No. 39 as shown on a map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous
Map Book 9, Page 37, Records of 0r~ge County, California.
PARCEL 2a. The easterly 15.50 feet of Lot 2, in said Block 2.
PARCEL 3a. A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded souther-
ly by the south line of said Lot 2, bounded easterly by the
west line of Parcel 2, bounded northwesterly by the arc of
a curve concave northwesterly, having a radius of 25.00
feet and tangent to said south line of Lot 2, and tangent
to said west line of Parcel 2.
For the widening of Delhi Road -
PARCEL 4- The south 10.O0 feet of the west 150.00 feet of
the most northerly 20.00 feet of Lot l, Block 2, in Tract
No. 39, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Miscellan-
eous Map Book 9, Page 37, Records of Orange County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he is
hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the
City of Santa Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California
in and for the County of Orange, for condemnation of said property
necessary to be taken as herein ordered and heretofore described and
things necessary to prosecute said actima to final determina-

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:

is hereby ordered, that the City of
Santa Aha, a municipal corporation, plaintiff in the condeEaticn
action ordered herein, take immediate possession and use of the prop-
erty herein ordered to be acquired, upon complying with the require-
ments of the law applicable thereto, that the City Attorney. report
to t~e Director of Finance, the amount of money required therefor,
and that tae Director of Finance shall deposit said amount with the
Clerk of the Court.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the said action for condemnation
of said property so to be acquired saall be taken in accordance with
Section 14, Article I of the Constitution of the State of California.
