VACATE A PORTION OF"AN UNNAMED ALLEY NEAR THE INTERSECTION
OF VALENCIA STREET AND THE SANTA ANA FREEWAY
WHEREAS, after study, the Planning Commission and the Director
of Public Works have recommended the vacation of that portion of an
unnamed alley hereinbelow described, and the City Council, after study,
has concluded that the same may be unnecessary for present or prospect-
ive street purposes if an alley connection can be made with the existing
fifteen feot alley west of Valencia Street, and has caused a map of
said alley to be prepared;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the map attached hereto
marked ~Exhibit A", is hereby approved, and ordered filed with and
as a part of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council
and reference is hereby made to said map for. particulars and exact
details as to this proposed street vacation, and the City Council
hereby declares its intention to vacate, abandon and close up as a
public alley or street that portion of an unnmned alley in the City
of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
All of that certain unnsm ed alley being 22 feet wide and running
from East to West between Lots 9 and l0 of the Nob Hill Tract,
bounded on the East by the Westerly line of Valencia Street, and
on the West by the Northeasterly right-of-way line of Santa Ana
Freeway.
BE IT FUR~ER RESOLVED:
the third day of March, 1958,
That the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. on
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
3rd and Main Streets, in the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby
fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in, or
objecting to, the proposed vacation of said unnamed alley; that the
City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with said vaca-
tion of street under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941,
Part 3, 9tvtsion 9 (Sections 8300 through 8374) of the Street and
Highways Code of the State of California; and
The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this
Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of
0rdin~ces of the City, and the Director of Public Works is hereby
ordered to post, conspicuously along the lines of said alley herein
proposed to be vacated, notices stating the passage of this Resolu-
tion of Intention, and the time and place of the hearing t~ereon;
such notices shall be posted not more th~ 300 feet apart and at
least three shall be posted along said portion of said alley. Said
publication ~nd posting shall be completed at least l0 days before
Narch 3, 1958.
