ANNEX", AND GIVING NOTICE OF TINE AND PLACE OF REARING PROTESTS THERETO WHEREAS, the Bounda~ Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of certain real property, as herein be- low set out, for the purpose of annexation, and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has approved said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the real property herein described for the following reasons: 1. Said property is located adjacent to the City boundary east of Tustin on Seventeenth Street, and that a sewer line is proposed to be extended ~ong Seventeenth Street. 2. That a portion of said property is proposed for an expan- sion program which will require municipal services. 3. That this area c~ best and most economically be served with municipal services by the City of Santa Aha, and that said services are of the highest caliber obtainable in Orange County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory &ct of 1939, ~d hereby finds and declares that said ter~ tory is uninhabited within the meaning of Section 35303 of the Government Code on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at the point of intersection of a line parallel with and 25.00 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Seventeenth Street with the northe~y extension of the East line of Tustin (50.00 feet wide on the East side, as Tustin Avenue exists South of Seventeenth), said point of intersection being a point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; and running thence East along said parallel line to its intersection with the northerly extension of the East line of the West half of Lot No. 5 of the Felipe Yorba Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 206, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence southerly along said East line and its northerly exten- sion of the West half of Lot Mo. 5 to the South line of said Lot No. 5, thence westerly along said South line of Lot No. 5 to said East line of Tustin Avenue, and to said City boundary; t~ence northerly along said East line of Tustin Avenue and its northerly extension, aud along said City boundary to the point of beginning. That "Seventeenth and Tustin S. E. Annex" is hereby designated as an appropriate name of said a~nexation; that said Council hereby declares its intention to, and it will, annex said territory to, and include it within, the Santa Ana School District, Santa Aha High School District, and Santa Aha Junior College District, and upon completion of said Annexation said territory shall be and become a part of said School Districts. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that ~arch l?th, 1958, at the hour of ?:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 3rd and Main Streets, in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place fixed at which said Council will hear protests made By any person owning real property within said terz~ tory so proposed to be annexed. At any time before said hour any owner of m~y of said territory may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protests must state tke owner's name and, in general terms, a description and the area of the property owned.
