PA~-II{G FOR SUCH INSTALLATION
~?HEREAS, upon request from the State of California, the City
of Santa Aha furnished material and installed a two-inch water service
connection, a two-inch water meter and backflow preventer to the
property now occupied by the California National Guard Armory on
Delhi Road at the cost to the City of ~677.81; and
',~EREAS, the State of California is willing and ready to pay
for the same but requires a contract document between the City and
the State for the perfor~ance of such work, in consideration of the
State's agreement to pay, to be signed by some agent of the City for
and on behalf of the City, and requires that said agent's authority
to sign such agreements be evidenced by a Resolution of the City Council;
NOV~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Hugh H. Foreman, the Dir-
ector of the Department of Public ?forks, is hereby authorized and
designated as the agent of the City of Santa Aha, California, for a~d
on behalf of said City, to enter into agreements with the State of
California or any other public or private agency, in those cases
where the City is to install or provide for the installation of
sewer or water lines to the owner's property line, and t:~e property
owner is to pay the City the cost of performing such ~o rk.
