WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha has been sending some of the
new police officers through the Police Officer's Training School
in Riverside, as regular assigned duty to make s~d new officers
better peace officers and moro valuable to the City, and
YfHE~S, a group of eleven officers of ~he S~a Ana Police
Department have just completed the course of training in Riverside
with thirty-nine police officers from other jurisdictions, ~d have
tn each case made a creditable showing by placing in the upper
portion of said class, m~d
~.2~Ei~AS, three of the Santa Ana officers have finished in the
top ten percent of ~is particular class;
NOW, THE~U~F0?~, BE IT ~ESOL~D: ~at the City Council c~-
m~ each of t~e S~ ta Aha police officers upon their individual
efforts m~d upon the fine showing made for themselves and for the
Santa Aha contingent in t~s training course, sad particularly con-
gratulates Patro~ Rayford E. ~latthews for placfn~ ~t~ ~rom the
top of said class, '~obert ~i. Stebbins for placin~ 4th from the top
of said class, and Claude W. Jordan, Jr. for placing 1st in said
class, both in the daily course work, and in his final exmmination.
