~E$0LUTION NO. 58-114 DENYING VARIANCE APPLICATION OF
GEORGE BUBAN WHERE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL
WHEP~-~S, heretofore on Variance Application No. 989 the Plan-
ning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after hearing, recommended
that the variance applied for be granted to construct an eight-unit
apartment building on property situated at 1414 Durant Street, in
an R-2 District, and
WHEREAS, after study and consideration the City Council finds
that such use might result in an overdevelopment of the lot, and that
the variance should not be granted on the basis of the factual pre-
sentation made to said Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Variam ce Application No.
989 hereinabove referred to is hereby denied for the reason that no
sufficient or compelling evidence of the necessity for granting the
stone has been presented to the City Council, and said Council de-
sires to maintain said property in its present use until and unless
further information be presented to satisfy the requirements for the
granting of a variance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council ~eserves the
right to reconsider said variance application if upon further study
the desirability of such action appears to be indicated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of May, 1958.
