TION TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERKITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "MEMORY LANE
AND BAKER N. ANNEX", AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME A~ PLACE
FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the Boundary Cozmnission of 0range County, Cali~rnia
has approved the description of certain real property as herein set
out for the purpose of annexation, and
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the territory to be annexed have
filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the
City of Sm ta Ana, Califomia annex ssi d real property, stating that
the same is uninhabited and consenting in writing that said real
property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability ~f said
City contracted prior to such annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said
territory to said City under the provisions of the Annexation of Un-
inhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that
said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 regis-
tered voters residing in it on the date this Resolution is adopted,
that said territory is contiguous to the City of S~ta Aha, California,
lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
Beginning at a point on the South line of Lot 14 of Potts,
Borden and Sidwell Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4,
Page 624 of Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County 38.6.00 feet westerly from
the Southeast corner of said Lot 14, said point of beginning
being a point on the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha,
California, md running thence westerly along the South line
of said Lot 14, and along said City boundary 82.00 feet to an
angle point in said City boundary; thence northerly al cng said
City boundary 202.00 feet to an angle point in said City bound-
ary; thence departing from said City boundary, easterly paral-
lel with ssi d South line of Lot 14, 82.00 feet; thence south-
erly in a straight line to the point of beginning, and to said
City boundary.
That said Council hereby designates "Memory Lane and Baker N.
Amuex" as an appropriate n~me for sa~d annexation.
That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will
annex said territory to and include it within the Smta Aha School
District, Santa Ana High School District and Santa Aha Junior College
District and upon the completion of said annexation, said territory
shall be and become a part of said School Districts.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that June 16, 1958, at the hour of
7:30 P. M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at Third and Main
Streets, in the City of Santa Aha, California, is the time and place
fixed at which said Council will hear protests made by any person own-
ing real property within said territory so proposed to be ~nexed.
At any time before said hour, any owner of any of said property may
file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest
should state the owner, s name and, in general terms,
and area of the property owned.
