A RESOLUTION 0F THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFOP~IIA, FIelDING THAT THE PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AlfD NECESSITY REQUIRE THE IMPROVE~NT
OF ~L&IN STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
W~{EREAS, a public hearing has been held duly and regularly,
pursuant to Resolution No.58-118and the laws and Constitution of the
State of California, on the proposed improvement of Main Street be-
tween Edinger Street and Delhi Road by the installation and placing
in operation of an ornamental street lighting system including the
installation of concrete lighting standards, mercury vapor type lum-
inaires, ballasts, lamps, cable, conduits, pull boxes, and appurten-
ant work thereto; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the said City Council hereby finds and deter-
mines that the public convenience and necessity require the improve-
ment of Main Street between Edinger Street and Delhi Road by the in-
stallation and placing iu operation of an ornamental street lighting
system including the installation of concrete lighting standards,
mercury vapor type luminaires, ballasts, lamps, cable, conduits,
pull boxe~, and appurtenant work thereto. The nature, location and
extent of the proposed improvement and the district to be assessed
for the cost and expense thereof are shown respectively on the pro-
file and improvement plan, No. AD 201, and specifications entitled
"Specifications for Improvement in Assessment District No. 201" and
assessment district map, No. AD 201, Sheet 1.
SECTION 2. That the said City Council hereby finds and deter-
mines further that the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation
and Majority Protest. Act of 1931" shall not apply to the making of
said improvement.

SECTION 3. That the said improvement shall be conducted under
the ImProvement Act of 1911 which is Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California· and the City Engineer and
the City Attorney hereby are instructed to present to the said City
Council the said Resolution of Intention required by said Improvement
Act to initiate the proceedings for the improvement.
SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the ssme
shall be in full force and effect.
