A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING CONTRACT TO
IMPROVE MAIN STREET WITHIN THE CITY, IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 58-131
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, in open
session ou the 21st day of July, 1958, publicly did examine and
declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work mentioned
in Resolution Of Intention No. 58-131 of said City Council de-
claring its intention to improve Main Street between Edinger Street
and Delhi Road~fDhinthe City by the installation and placing in
operation of au ornamental street lighting system including the
installation of concrete lighting standards, mercury type vapor
luminaires, ballasts, lamps, cable, conduits, pull boxes, and
other work appurtenant thereto.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention hereby is made for
the description of the work and the assessment district and for all
further particulars.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby awards the con-
tract to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
Paul Gardner ~rporation
pursuant to the bid submitted for doing the work described in said
Resolution of Intention, which said bid is on file iu the office of
the Clerk of the Council; said award is made at the price named in
said bid and said City Council hereby rejects all other proposals
or bids for the doing of said work.
SECTION 2. The Clerk of the Council hereby is directed
to publish the notice of this award twice in the "Santa Aua Inde-
pendent'', a newspaper published and circulated in the City of Santa
Aha.

SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
