A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIHE THE IMPROVEMENT
OF SIXTH STREET AND HAWLEY STB~T, ATJ, WITHIN THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held, duly and regularly
pursuant to Resolution No. 58-165 and the laws and Constitution of
the State of California, on the proposed improvement of Sixth Street
and Hawley Street by the grading, preparing of subgrade, and paving
with asphaltic plant mix, construction of concrete curbs, gutters,
sidewalks, and driveway aprons and appurtenant work thereto; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES
NOW, THEREFORE,
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the said City Council hereby finds and
determines that the public convenience and necessity require the
improvement of:
Sixth Street between Hawley Street and a line 750 feet
westerly therefrom, said line being the north line of
Tract No. 633; and
The westerly portion of Hawley Street between Fifth Street
and the north line of Tract No. 633,
all within the City of Santa Aha, by the grading, preparing of sub-
grade, and paving with asphaltic plant mix, construction of concrete
curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveway aprons, and appurtenant work
thereto, the nature, location, and extent of the proposed improve-
ment and the district to be assessed for the cost and expense there-
oF are mhown respectively on the profile and improvement plan No.
AD 203, and specifications entitled "Specifications for Improvement
in Assessment District No. 203", and assessment district map No.
AD 203, Sheet 1.
SECTION 2. That the said City Council hereby finds and
determines further that the "Special Assessment Investigation,

Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931" shall not apply to the
making of said improvement.
SECTION 3. That the said improvement shall be conducted
under the Improvement Act of 1911, which is Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, and the City Engineer
and the City Attorney hereby are instructed to present to the said
City Council the said Resolution of Intention required by said Im-
provement Act to initiate the proceedings for the improvement.
SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
