A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA PROPOSING MODIPICATIONS IN THOSE PROCEED-
INGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MAIN STREET INSTITUTED
PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 58-118
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA' ANA DOES RESOLVE AS FOI~
LOWS:
SECTION 1. That said City Council hereby proposes to
modify the hereinafter listed resolutions and documents pertaining
to those certain improvement proceedings, instituted pursuant to
Resolution No. 58-118, for the improvement of Main Street between
Edinger Street and Delhi Road. Each of the hereinafter listed
resolutions or documents are proposed to be modified by deleting
therefrom:
"installation of concrete lighting standards, mercury
vapor type luminaires,
pull boxes,"
and substituting therefor,
ballasts, lamps, cable, conduits,
in each place in each of said resolutions
and documents where the above quoted language appears,
are:
the following:
"installation of steel electroliers, mercury vapor type
luminaires, ballasts, lamps, cable, conduits, pull boxes,"
Those resolutions and documents so proposed to be modified

Resolution No. 58-118 adopted May 5, 1958;
Affidavit dated May lC, 1958, relating to the pub-
lication of Resolution No. 58-118 on May 9 and
May lC, 1958; the copy of Resolution No. 58-118
made a part thereof; and Resolution No. 58-118 as
so published on said days;
Resolution No. 58-130 adopted May 19, 1958;
Resolution No. 58-131 adopted May 19, 1958;
Affidavit of Publication dated June 7, 1958, relating
to the publication of Resolution No. 58-131 ou May 31,
1958, and June 7, 1958; the copy of the resolution

made a part thereof; and said resolution so pub-
lished on said days;

Notice of Improvement signed by the Street Super-
intendent of said city, posted on May 27, 1958,
giving notice of the adoption of Resolution of In-
tention No. 58-131; and the copy of said notice so
posted attached to and made a part of the Affidavit
of Posting dated May 28, 1958;
Notice signed by the Clerk of the Council of said
city and mailed ou May 26, 1958; and the copy of
said notice attached to the Affidavit of Mailing
thereof dated May 26, 1958;

9) Notice Inviting Bids signed by the Clerk of the
Council of said city and dated June 17, 1958;

Affidavit of Publication of the Notice Inviting Bids
dated July 10, 1958, relating to the publication of
the Notice Inviting Bids on June 21 and June 28, 1958;
the copy of the Notice Inviting Bids made a part there-
of; and the Notice Inviting Bids so published on said
days;
Notice Inviting Bids posted on or near the Council
Chamber door on June 30, 1958, and for a period of
five days immediately thereafter;
12) Resolution No. 58-173 adopted July 21, 1958;
13) Notice of Award of Contract signed by the Clerk of the
Council of said city and dated July 21, 1958;
Affidavit of Publication dated July 31, 1958, relating
to the publication of the Notice of Award of Contract
published on July 24 and July 31, 1958; copy of Notice
of Award made a part thereof; and said notice as so
published on said days.
The purpose of this resolution and the modifications pro-
posed hereby is to clarify an apparent inconsistency between the
above-mentioned documents and the plans and specifications pertain-
ing to the proceedings referred to herein. The plans and specifi-
cations call for steel electroliers; therefore, the modifications
proposed herein, if ordered, will not increase or decrease the
estimated cost of the work.
SECTION 2. That notice hereby is given that, on the
day of S~pt~m~.~ , 1958, at 7:30 o~clock P.M., any person interested
in the proceedings referred to in said resolutions, notices, and

affidavits above noted, said proceedings being for the improvement
of Main Street between Edinger Street and Delhi Road by the insta~
lation and placing in operation of au ornamental lighting system,
having any objection to the changes or modifications proposed
herein, may appear before said City Council and show cause why
said changes or modifications should not be ordered, and any person
interested may file written objections to the proposed changes or
modifications with the Clerk of the Council at any time not later
than the time set for hearing.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the Council hereby is directed
publish this resolution in the "Santa Aha Independent" at least
once, such publication to be at least ten (10) days prior to the
date of the above public hearing.
SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
