CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA ANA TO CONN~ENCE~ENT OF PROCEED-
INGS UNDER THE ANNEXATION ACT OF 1913
WHEP~AS, residents aud property owners in the area lying west-
erly of the present Sma ta Aha City boundaries, South of Trask Avenue,
North of Smeltzer Avenue, to and including a portion of the property
on the westerly side of Verano Street, have requested the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana to consent to the initiation of
proceedings as required by Section 35106 of the Government Code,
an annexation to be known as the "WEST SANTA ANA ANNEX" by the fil-
ing of informal petitions requesting the same, and
WHEREAS, a map and description of the boundaries of said area
have been presented to the Planning Commission of the City of Ssa ta
Ana for their consideration, and said Planning Commission has by
Resolution reported to this City Council and has reco~muended that
said annexation be consented to, approved, and carried forward by
this City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Smuta Ana hereby consents to the commencement of proceedings
for the annexation of territory to be known as "WEST SANTA ANA
ANNEX", in accordance with the map and description heretofore
presented to the Santa Ana Pl~uning Commission and to this City
Counct 1.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at asp ecial meeting called and held for said puPpose at the
hour of 2 o'clock P.M. on the 6th day of October, 1958. f /
