RESOLUTION NO. 59-20 CHANGING THE NA~E OF SANTIAGO WAY
TO PENN WAY, AN~ THE NA~E OF SANTIAGO AVENUE TO SANTIAGO
STREET
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after study, has recommended
that the name of Santiago Way be changed to Penn ~¥ay, and that the
name of Santiago Avenue be changed to Santiago Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That t~ere is confusion re-
sulting f~om the fact that different streets in the City of Santa
Ana have similar names, and to in part correct this and to conform
to the plan of eventually having all streets running north and south,
and all avenues running east and west, the name changes hereinbelow
set out should be made.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the name of the street hereto-
fore known as Santiago Way, running southeasterly from Seventeenth
Street between the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rsi lroad right of
way, and the Santa Aha Freeway, is hereby changed to Penn Way, and
the name of that certain street heretofore known as Santiago Avenue,
running southeasterly from the north City limits between Poinsettia
and 0akmont, be changed to Santiago Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the ~2nd day o~February, 1959.
