RESOLUTION NO. 59-29 COMMEN~Xlt~ THE 1959 TOUR TO SANTA ANA,
EL SALVADOR AS A PUBLIC $~RVICE
W~TEREAS, heretofore the People to People Program was adopted
by the City of Santa.Ana in cooperation with the City of Santa Ana,
E1 Salvador, and several individual and family visitations have been
made from each City to the other, to the mutual advantage of said
two Cities; and
WHEREAS, there is now proposed the Ss~ta Ana Chamber of
Commerce Tour, to depart Santa Aha, California March 9th, ~ d return
March 19th, 1959, with stops at ~uatemala City and Nexico City.
NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of S~nta Aha hereby commends, authorizes and recommends to the cit~ns
of Santa Ana, for their education and enjoyment, and for the inter-
national good will to be created by such exchange between our cities,
this Tour which is now being conducted under the auspices of the
Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, in the hope that this and similar
exchanges between friendly nations of the American Continent will
further understanding between ~e peoples of the Americas.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of February, 1959.
