RESOLUTION NO. 59-58 ACCEPTING THE DEED OF CHARLES
SMITH, WHERE THE CITY IS GIVING CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, heretofore, on March 2, 1959, ~e City Council
adopted Rem lution No. 59-48 expressing the agreement between the
City of Santa Aha and one ChMr~..S~j~h, to compromise an eminent ~g
domain action, Case No. 72569, whereunder the City exchanged a
deed for certain property on West Sixth Street, ~nd paid the stem
of $975.00 cash for Mr. Smith's interest in the pmperty herein-
below described, fO~. an irrevokable option to repurchase said
Sixth Street property; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Smith has now delivered to the City a deed to
his one-third interest in the property located in the Santa Ana
Civic Center, which is needed for the library site;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha hereby accepts that certain deed dated March llth,
1959 whereunder Charles Smith granted to the City of Santa Ana
certain property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California described as:
An undivided one-third interest in and to Lot I of the
Greenleaf Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 25,
page 49 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles,Count~
California. EXCEPT the East 5 feet included in Ross
Street,
and directs that Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
place his Certificate of Approval upon such deed and deliver the
same to the Orange County Title Company for recording through escrow.
