~5~STERN BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, FORNERLY KNOWN AS FIRST NATION-
AL BANK IN SANTA ANA, AND RAY S. AGUINAGA AND DOMINCA AGUINAGA
WHERE CITY IS PAYING CASH CONSIDERATION FOR ~ENOVAL OR ALTER-
ATION OF STRUCTURE BUT NOT FOR LAND
~ EREAS,
a Corporation, has delivered to the CITY OF SANTA ANA a deed granting
an easement for street purposes over the Westerly 12 feet of the prop-
erty at the Northeast Corner of Main and Eleventh Streets for the
widening of North Main Street, in consideration of payment through
escrow of the sum of $40,000.00, the m~ount agreed as compansation
for the cost of removal of the existing building from said right-of-
way and the construction of a new building ~ace behind the new right-
of way line; and
WHEREAS, FI!~T WESTERN BANK AND TRUST COMPANY~ formerly known
as First National Bank in Santa Aha, has offered to the CITY OF SANTA
ANA a deed granting an easement for street purposes over the Westerly
10 feet of property on the East side of Main Street 100 feet North of
Eight~ Street for the widening of Main Street in consideration of
payment of the sum of $3,000.00 as agreed compensation for the re-
moval of all existing improvements from the la~ d covered by said deed
and to cover the cost of remodeling the entry steps to the existing
building; amd
WEEREAS, RAY S. AGUINAGA and DOMINCA AGUINAGA, husband and
wife, have presented to the CITY OF SANTA ANA, a deed conveying prop-
erty for street right-of-way at the Northwest Corner of Eighth and
Artesia Streets in consideration of the CITY paying all charges and
· expenses required to complete the proposed alteration on the ezist-
Lug market building located at said Northwest Corner; and
WHEREA3, in neither of said cases is the CITY paying any cash
consideration to grantors for the granting of the street easement

proposed to be conveyed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the CITY OF SANTA ANA
accepts said deeds and directs CARL J. THORNTON, its duly author-
ized Officer, to certify this acceptance upon the face of each deed
and directs the Clerk of the Council to deposit the same in escrow
for recording and approves the te~ms of the escrows evidenced by
the escrow instructions and the Mayor is hereby authorized to exe-
cute the same for and on behalf of the CITY OF BANTA ANA and to ex-
ecute the CITY'S approval of the building alteration on the Plans at-
tached to the RAY S. AGUINAGA and DOMINCA AGUINAGA deed.
