Aii<[NEX'~ WAS NOT MADE BY OWNERS OF ONE-HALF THE VALUE OF THE TERRITORY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, by Reso- lution No. ~9-12~ initis, ted proceedings for the annexation of certain territory and fixed July 6, 19~9 as the time for hearing protests of owners within said territory, and at said hearing protest was filed by one owner, and the matter was continued until July 20, 19~9, for the CI~ rk' s report as to the percentage of ownership, at which time the Clerk of the Councilr eported that said protest represented ~8~ per cent of the value of said territory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council finds, determines and declares that Resolution 1qo. 59-124 was regularly published as required by law; that notice 'was duly mailed to each person to whom ls. nd was assessed within t he territory proposed to be annexed by said Resolution; that the protest hearing was regularly held and that protest was filed by Will B. and Charlo~J~9~ Dm. Cross; that the assessed value of the property owned by said protestants was and is ~!~,~30.00; that the total value of the land and improvements in the territory so proposed to be annexed was $19,270.00, all as shown in the last equalized County assessment roll available on the date the proceedings were initiated; that protest was and is made by the owners of 28.69 per cent of the value of said territory, and that protest was not made by the owners of one-half of the value of said territory. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of July, 19~9.
