AND HIGHWAY~ OF ~--~TY GF SANTA ANA TO COi~FORM WITH THE
ORANGE C@UNTY ~[ASTER PLAN OF STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
WHEREA~, the P'lanning Commission regularly held a public hearing
on notice, on J~y 13, 19~9, on the question.of s~ending the Easter
Plan of Streets 'a~d Highways to conform the s~me with the. Orange Cgu~t~
Master Plan of Streets and Highways, and recommended to the City Council
that said Council adogt the proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, at a public hearing before the ~ity Council.on August
3, ~$~9, there were li!. protestsmts present who identified themselves
and spoke in ~rotest,' in most ~ases urging that the streets not be
widened, in'some instances urging that some other street be widened
as a major thoFoughfare, and: in some cases, ma~.nly .s'eeking infonuatien
regarding mt he meaning of the Master Plan of Streets s?d Hi.ways and
the effec~t it m~ght ~have on their propert~;.~;"
NOW, THEREFORE, ~BE IT RESOLVED: ~hat the City Council, ~fter
c~onsideratio~, 'hereby Mej~cts and disallows said ~retests an~ declares
that the Master Plan of Streets and Highways of th~ City of Santa Ana-
~iginally 'adopted ~y.Resolution No. ~8-251, be and the same is here~y
· amended in the

following 'partlcular~, to-wi2:
The extension of Segers;rom Avenue as a secondaw highway
(84 feet of right-of-way) from Harbor Boulevard ~o.~ewhope
Street.
2. Change Delhi ~Road, between Bristol Street and Standard
Avenue, from a. secondar~f highway ~('80 feet of ~ght-o~-way)
to a.l~imary h~hway (94 fee, t of right-of-way). It zs pro-
posed~that ~his portion of Delhi Road be a four-lane div-
ided highway.
~. Change Fourth Street, between the Santa Ana~Freeway smd
Tustin Avenue, ~rom a secondary highway (84.feet of ri~ht-
oF-way) t~ a prmmary highway (100 feet of r~ght-of-way).
BE IT Ft~ER RESOLVED: That the map nominated "Master Plan of
Streets and Highways", so amended, is here~y adopted as the Master
Plan of S~reets and'Highways of the City of Santa Aha, and theI Plan-
ning Department is d~rected to keep on file in its office and in the
office of the Clerk of the Council a copy of said mop, which shows
this mmendment.
