THE ORANGE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS ALLOWING SANTA
ANA TO AUTHORIZE SAID DISTRICTS TO HAVE CERTAIN AREAS
PAVED AT CITY EXPENSE
WHEREAS, heretofore the Orange County Ss~itation Districts
published notice inviting bids, publicly opened bids submitted, and
awaNied a bid to Vido Artukovich & Son, Inc. as the lowest and best
bidder on work for the placing of a trunk sewer in Newhope Street,
and certain paving on said Street; and
WHEREAS, while this paving is being done the City desires
certain additionsl work which, after negotiation, the 0range County
Sanitation Districts and said contractor have agreed to include under
said Districts' contract, at fixed unit prices; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana Department of Public Works has recom-
mended that the unit prices for paving and placing U. R. B. are ad-
vantageous to the City and that City can obtain a better price by
Joining in the larger overall contract than by having a small amount
of work done by a different contractor not presently located and
working on Newhope Street, or in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the details of the negotiation
and agreement between said City and the Orange County Smitation
Districts, and Vido Artukovich & Son, Inc., whereby said Sanitation
Districts are to authorize said contractor as an extra and addition
to his contract to do certain work, not presently required, as an
extra for and at the request of the City of S~uta Ana at the unit
prices of:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
$0.14/ square feet
$0.13/ square feet
$0.27/ square feet
That the City of Santa Aha hereby
Joins with said Orange County Sanitation Districts for the accom-
plishment of the work of the extras required by the City, and agrees
to pay to said Orange County Sanitation Districts an amount not to
exceed $27,000.00, which said amount is to be computed on the basis
of the above unit prices for work done at the request of and
authorized by the City of Ssnta Ans. Said Orange County Sanita-
tion Districts by t~e acceptauce of and carrying out of the agree-
ment with the City of Santa Aha for the doing of said work, agree
to pSF such sum or sums as are received from the City of Santa Aha
under and by virtue of said agreement, and as expressed in this
Resolution, due Vido Artukovich & Son, Inc. for said work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution No, ~ is hereby
rescinded because of an error caused by the transposition of the
unit prices in said Resolution which is replaced by this Resolution.
