TERRITORY FROM TUSTIN LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, heretofore, territories hereinbelow described were
annexed to the city of Santa Aha, California, as follows:
PARCEL 1 by Ordinance No. NS-583 adopted June 18, 1962 under the
name of "LYON AND MAIN S.E. ANNEX";
PARCEL 2 by Ordinance No. NS-650 adopted May 6~ 1963, under the
name of "EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 1"; and
PARCEL 3 by Ordinance No. NS-663 adopted July 1, 1963, under the
name of "EAST FIRST STREET ANNEX NO. 3",
so that now all of the real property in said three parcels herein-
below described is within the limits of the City of Santa Aha but
still remains in the Tustin Lighting District and should be reproved
therefrom for the reason that said property is afforded street
lighting service without extra assessment or tax therefor within
said City and is now subjected to double taxation by being in and
remaining in said Tustin Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, on February -- , 1964, the Orange County Boundary
Commission approved the descriptions hereinbelow set.out as reason-
ably definite and certain for the purpose of changing the boundary
line of said District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That all of the territory
within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
PARCEL 1:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of
the City of Santa Aha, California, said angle point being
10 feet Westerly of the monumented center line of Lyon
Street, and South 00° 06' 00" East 1,274.35 feet, fro~
the center line of First Street, said point being the
Southwest corner of the Elks Annex to said City of Santa
Aha, as adopted by Ordinance NS-189, said point also
being 80 feet North and 43 feet West of the Northwest
corner of Lot "I" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 2, Pages 618 and
619 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia; thence North 89° 07' 30" East along said city
boundary and along the South line of said Elks Annex
339.12 feet to the Southeast corner of said Elks Annex
and to the Southwest corner of the Prentice Park
Territory Annex to said City of Santa Ana, as adopted by
Ordinance Number 1269; thence continuing North 89° 07'
30" East along said City boundary and along the South
line of said Prentice Park Territory Annex, 102.31 feet,
to the point of intersection of said South line of said
Prentice Park Territory Annex with the Northerly extension
of the East line of Parcel 1 of land conveyed to LaVerne
Van Wyk by deed recorded July 17, 1945 in Book 1316,
Page 550, Official Records of Orange County, California,
said point of intersection being on the North line of Main
Street, (Tustin) 80 feet wide, as shown on said map of the
Stafford and Tustin Tract; thence South 00° 06' 00" East,
departing from said City boundary, 942.54 feet to the
Southeast corner of Parcel 1 of said Van Wyk land; thence
South 89~ 07' 30" West, 441.43 feet, along the South line of
said Parcel i of said Van Wyk land and its Westerly exten-
sion to a point on the existing boundary of said city of
Santa A~a, as established by Ordinance Number 73, said point
being Westerly 10 feet from the mon~mented center line of
Lyon Street; thence North 00° 06' 00" West along said City
boundary, 942.54 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East half of
Block "C" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book 2, Pages 618 and 619 of
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
said corner being a point on the existing boundary of
the City of Santa Ana, said corner being on the South line
of First Street, said South line being 33 feet South
measured at right angles, from the center line of First
Street, said corner being E~sterly 1378.00 feet, more Or
less, from the Southerly extension of the center line of
Mabury Street, measured along said South line and running
thence North 89° 32' 45" East along said South line and
along said existing City boundary 338.25 feet, more or
less, to the Northeast corner of said Lot C; thence
departing from said City boundary South 0° 27' 15" East
along the East line of said Lot C 1120.11 feet, more or
less, to the North line of that certain property conveyed
to the State of California by deed recorded July 12, 1954
in Book 2768, Page 59 of Official Records of Orange County,
California; thence, North 68° 41' 16" West along said
North line 364.22 feet, more Or less, to the West line of
the East half of said Lot C; thence, North 0° 27' 15" West
along said West line of the East half of said Lot C,
985.05 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 3:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the East half of
Block "C" of the Stafford and Tustin Tract as shown on
a map thereof recorded in Book 2, Pages 618 and 619 of
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
said corner being an angle point on the existing boundary
of the City of Santa Ana, as established by the "East
First Street No. 1 Annex", said corner being on the South
line of East First Street, said South line being 33.00 feet
South, measured at right angles, from the center line of
East First Street, said corner being East 1,378 feet,
more or less, from the southerly extension of the center
linm of Mabury Street, measured along said South line, and
running thence South 0° 27' 15" Bast, 985.05 feet along
the West line of said East half of Lot "C" of said
Stafford and Tustin Tract, and along said boundary of the
City of Santa Ana to a point on the North line of that
certain property conveyed to the State of California by
deed recorded July 12, 1954, in Book 2768, Page 59 of
Official Records of Orange County, California, and to an
angle point in said East First Street No. 1 Annex and to
a point in a curve concave Northeasterly, having a radius
of 1,920.00 feet. A radial to said curve at said point
bears North 28~ 21' 36" East; thence, departing from said
City boundary Northwest along said curve through a central
angle of 12° 46' 00", an arc distance of 427.82 feet to a
radial bearing North 41° 07' 36" East, and to a point on
the East line of Block "B" of said Stafford and Tustin
Tract; thence, along said West line South 0° 29' 35" East,
490 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of said
Block "B"; thence, West 350 feet, more or less, along the
South line of said Block "B" to an angle point in said City
Boundary as established by Ordinance No. NS-297 and to the
Southwest corner of Lot 4 of Tract No. 24 as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 9, Page 23, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of said Orange County; thence, North along the East
boundary of said Ordinance No. NS-297 Annex and along the
West line of Lots 2 and 4 of said Tract No. 24 a distance
of 1,014.13 feet, more or less, to a point which is South
220.73 feet, more or less, from the North line of said
Block "B" and to the Southerly corner of land conveyed to
Lawrence A. Whitesides by deed recorded August 21, 1961,

in Book 5821, Page 964, Official Records of said Orange
County; thence, North 30° 01' 22" West 121.29 feet, along
said City Boundary; thence North 8° 43' 22" West 69.15
feet, along said City Boundary; thence North 47° 16' 59"
East 69.57 feet, along said City Boundary to a point on
the North line of said Block "B" and to the Northeast
corner of land annexed by said Ordinance No. NS-297; thence,
East along said North line of Block "B" and Block "C" 706.38
feet, more or less, and along said City Boundary to the
point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby withdrawn from the Tustin Lighting District,
and the City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby declares that
said territory is so withdrawn from said District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the Cit¥of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the l?th day of FebTuary , 1964.
