RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
CHANGES TO THE WORK AS DESCRIR~.~ IN ITS
RESOLUTION OF INTKNTION NO. 64-46. IN THE
MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
SEWER LINES TOGETBER WITH APPURTENANCES
AND APPURTENANT WORK WITHIN TME SAID CITY
FOR TME USE AND BENEFIT OF THE CITY OF.
SANTA ANA ASSESSMENT DISTRICT ~O. 218.
WHEREAS, the city Council of the City of Santa Ana,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911",
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, has heretofore passed and adopted its Resolution
of Intention No. 62-156 to order the work prescribed therein to
be done, which said Resolution of Intention was duly and
legally published as required by law and notice of improve~ent
has been given in the manner required by law and a hearing date
was had in the manner required by law on the 4th day of September,
1962, and no written objections or protests to the proposed work
or the extent of the district were made to the date of the hear-
ing or at the time of the hearing, and the work described in the
said Resolution of Intention was duly ordered on the 17th day of
September, 1962, by said Council by Resolution No. 62-177; and
WHEREAS, no contract for the said work has been let,
the said council has retained jurisdiction, and on April 6, 1964,
passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 64-46 declar-
ing its intention to order changes to the work in said Assessment
District No. 218, which said Resolution of Intention was duly
and legally published as required by law and the hearing date
was had in the manner required by law on April 20, 1964, and no
written objections or protests to the changes to be ordered
were made to the date of the hearing or at the time of the
hearing.
NOW, TMERF2FORE, the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
That the public interests and convenience require,

and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares
that, by not less than 4/5 vote, the public interests, convenience
and necessity require and it hereby orders the changes to the
work described in maid Resolution of Intention No. 64-46, passe~
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on the
6th day of April, 1964, and on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Santa Ana. For further particulars to the
work as originally ordered and hereby changed, reference is
hereby ma~e to said Resolution of Intention No. 62-156 and to
Resolution of Intention NO. 64-46, and to Plan No. AD-218 as
revised April 1, 1964, and to Specifications No. AD-218 as
revised April 1, 1964, on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the said City (and copies being on file in the office of the
City Engineer of said City). Said plans and specifications and
resolutions are hereby referred to for a particular description
of said Assessment District, and the work and improvement to be
done therein.
That all of the work and improvement herein proposed,
including the changes herein ordered, shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an Act of the State of California
designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Co~e of the State of California.
The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed to
post conspicuously ar ten (10) days on or near the Chamber door
of the said city Council in the manner and form required by said
Co~e, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the
work ordered and the changes to said work herein ordered, and
the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the
Register, a daily newspaper, printed, published and circulated
in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the City
Council, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the
said work and referring to the specifications on file.
