RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA Ai~A, CALIFORNIA, AWi~RDING THE CONTRACT FOR
THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
62-156, INCLUDING THOSE CHANGES DESCRIBED IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 64-46.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA does
hereby RESOLVE and ORDER as follows:
That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
California, hereby finds that pursuant to the notice inviting
bids, the Purchasing Agent of the City of Santa Aha, on May 12,
1964, at the hour of 10:00 A.M., at a public meeting called for
that purpose, publicly opened, examined and declared all
sealed proposals or bids for the following work to be done and
improvements to be made in said City, to wit:
The construction of certain sewer lines, together
with appurtenances and appurtenant work in the City of Santa Aha -
Assessment District No. 218, all as more particularly described
in Resolution of Intention No. 62-156, passed and adopted by
the City Council of said City on the 6th day of August, 1962,
and the changes thereto described in Resolution of Intention
No. 64-46 adopted on the 6th day of April, 1964, both of which
are on file in the office of the Clerk of said City.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 62-156 and to Resolution of
Intention No. 64-46 and to the plans, profiles and drawings on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Santa Ana,
and to the specifications for said work heretofore adopted by
the said City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications heretofore approved by the City Council of
said City are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and
reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular
description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was,
in the opinion of the said City Council, of more than local
or ordinary public benefit and the said C~ty Council has made the
expenses of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district.
For the particular description of said district, reference is
hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 62-156.
Said City Council has determined and declared serial
bonds extending over a period of nine (9) years from the second
day of January next succeeding the next September 1st following
their date, and bearing interest at the rate of six percent
(6%) per annum, payable semi-annually, shall be issued as
provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911" hereafter referred to,
to represent assessments of ($50.00) or more for the cost of said
proposed work and improvement, remaining unpaid for thirty (30)
days after the date of recording the warrant in the manner
provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Part 5, Division
7 of the Streets and Highways code of the State of California.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and
carried through in pursuance of the Act of the Legislature of the
State of California designated the "Improvement Act of 1911",
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code.
Said City Council hereby rejects all of the said
proposals or bids except the next hereinafter mentioned, and
hereby awards the contract for the said work and improvement to
the lowest, regular and responsible bidder, to wit:
at the prices named in its, bid for said work, on
file in the office of the City clerk of said City.
The Clerk of the Council of said City is hereby
directed to cause a NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT to be published
in the manner and form required by said Cede in THE REGISTER, a
daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City,
and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
