HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-101RESOLUTION 64-101 COMMENDING HUGH H. FOREMAN, JR.
FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, HUGH H. FOREMAN, JR. was employed by the City of
Santa Ana on May 11, 1953, and for more than eleven years has
continuously served the City and has held the position of Director
of Public Works for the past ten years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Aha that during this decade the City has been con-
tending with exceedingly rapid growth, both in area and population,
which has required the extension of sewer and water mains, lines
and services, of streets and of all other public works services
within the City; that, in the opinion of the members of this
Council, no small part of the credit for the outstanding manner in
which these extensions have been accomplished belongs to the
Director of Public Works during this period; and that by reason of
the constant effort by the Public Works Department under
Mr. Foreman's leadership Santa Aha has been able to maintain its
position of more and better services with a tax rate reduction
during each of said years, wherefore, this City Council expresses
its gratitude and appreciation for the long hours of overtime and
the quality of leadership and direction afforded to the Public
Works Department by Mr. Foreman, expresses the thanks of the
employee group and the informed citizens of this City and the
regret of the official Santa Ana family and many of the developers
and subdividers who are continuously operating in Santa Ana at
Mr. Foreman's decision to leave public service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this City Council further
expresses best wishes of its individual members to Mr. Foreman's
future success.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1964.
