HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-108RESOLUTION 64-108 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR H.R. 11395 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana has for many years consistently maintained that the supply of potable water was the most serious long range problem facing Southern California and has repeatedly urged that studies be made for the utilization of such water now wasted to the Pacific; and, in furtherance thereof, said City Council adopted Resolution 64-53, expressing opposition to the Pacific Southwest Water Plan offered and modified by Secretary of Interior Udall, therein stating its reasons, and adopted Resolution 64-83, expressing support for Senate Bill 2760. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, that it urges support for and passage of H.R. 11395 now pending before the House of Representatives as the best approach so far offered to the study of the entire Colorado River Basin problem. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1964.
