HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-131RESOLUTION 64-131 DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACE AND NAMING THE ELECTION OFFICERS WHO SHALL SERVE AT THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD OCTOBER 13, 1964, ON THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY KNOWN AS "SANTA CLARA AND TUSTIN N. W. ANNEXATION" WHEREAS, the City Council has called a special municipal election to be held October 13, 1964, in certain territory which has petitioned for annexation to the City of Santa Aha. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby designates 16911 East Santa Clara Avenue. Santa Californ~a, as the Polling Place at which the electors within the territory may cast their ballots on the question of annexation, and hereby appoints the following election officers for said election: Inspector: DORIS NEWCOMB Judge: SOPHIE E. PRIESS Judge: STELLA E. FBANZEN for the election at which the following proposition shall be presented on the ballot: "Shall "SANTA CLARA ANDTUSTIN N. W. ANNEXATION" be annexed to the City of Santa Ana, California?" The Inspector shall be paid $21.00, each Judge shall be paid $18.00, and $10.00 is approved for Polling Place rental. The Clerk of the Council is hereby authorized to appoint substitutes for any election official unable to act and to designate an alternate Polling Place in case the place designated becc~nes impossible to use. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 8th day of September, 1964.
