MINTER, APPRECIATION FOR HER MANY PUBLIC SERVICES, AND MAKING PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF HER THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE BOWERS MUSEUM FOUNDATION AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHEREAS, the recent death of MISS LULA M. MINTER again called attention to the fact that the pioneer residents of the City of Santa Ana are a thinning squad, Miss Minter having been born in this City eighty-one years ago; and WHEREAS, MISS MINTER has been a leader in cultural matters in Santa Aha during her adult life; she always maintained an interest in the Bowers Museum, was originally appointed to the Board of the Museum in 1930, and was an organizer and founding member of the Board of Directors of the Museum Foundation organized in 1947. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana expresses for the citizens of the City the universal regret in the passing of MISS LULA M. MINTER, and further expresses appreciation of the official City family for her many public services and particularly for her thirty-three years of service to the Bowers Museum and the Museum Foundation since its formation. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of September, 1964.
