HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-157RESOLUTION 64-157 OVERRULING THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON APPLICATION NO. 2002 FILED BY GEORGE H. CALLENS, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS WHEREAS, after hearings on notice, the Planning Commission DENIED a variance on Variance Application No. 2002, filed by GEORGE H. CALLENS for the purpose of establishing a beauty shop at 1423 South Broadway, Santa Ana, California, in an R-3 District; and Appeal Application No. 139 was duly filed by the applicant presenting the matter to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing, has determined that all of the statutes and ordinance requirements for the granting of a variance are adequately met and that said variance should be granted subject to certain applicable conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council does hereby grant a variance on Variance Application No. 2002 to allow the establishment of a beauty shop An an R-3 District; said variance is granted subject to the following conditions: 1. That development be according to plot plan, except for minor modifications approved by the Planning Department. That one single-faced or double-faced, non-flashing sign, not to exceed 12 square feet, be permitted; said sign to be approved by the Planning Department. (These are the "P" District sign regulations.) 3. That the first parking stall (in the front yard setback) be el/minated. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1964.
