CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, GEORGE W. MEINHARDT, GRACE A. MEINHARDT, JAMES
MAGILL and LEOLA L. MAGILL have delivered to the City a deed
dated November 10, 1964, conveying a parcel of real property for
McFadden Avenue, west of the Santa Aha River, in consideration of
the payment of $4,300.00. Said transaction is to be handled
through Escrow No. 52522-C with Security Title Insurance Company,
Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, HAYWARD LUMBER & INVESTMENT COMPANY, a California
corporation, has delivered to the City a deed dated November 13,
1964, conveying two parcels of real property and an easement for
temporary construction purposes for the South Reservoir site,
north of Alton Avenue and west of the Orange County Flood Control
District Channel, in consideration of the payment of $126,240.00.
Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 869516-hrb
with Orange County Title Company, Santa Ana, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said
deeds.,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of December, 1964.
