PROPERTY CONTRACTS AND ACCEPTING GRANT DEEDS
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR CIVIC CENTER
PROJECT NO. G.A. 401
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Property Services of the
County of Orange, acting for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana,
has negotiated and conditionally delivered to the City Real Property
Contracts and Deeds executed by grantors, as hereinbelow set out,
each conveying a parcel of real property for Civic Center Project
No. G.A. 401; and
WHEREAS, ELIOZ GALICIA and ESTHER GALICIA have executed a
deed dated January 7, 1965, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real
property located on the north side of West Sixth Street, between
Shelton and Flower Streets, and designated as Parcel No. G.A. 401-172,
for a consideration of $14,000.00; and
WHEREAS, ADA R. PAD~ has executed a deed dated January 5, 1965,
conveying to the City of Santa Ana real property located on the north
side of %~est Sixth Street, between Shelton and Flower Streets, and
designated as Parcel No. G.A. 401-175, for a consideration of
$12,000.00; and
W}~REAS, BERTHA E. WINE has executed a deed dated January 11,
1955, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real property located on the
north side of West Sixth Street, between Shelton and Flower Streets,
and designated as Parcel Mo. G.A. 401-19~, for a consideration of
$9,000.00; and
WHEREAS, P.N. i~ILA~ and DOLORES MILAN have executed a deed
dated January 4, 19:35, conveying to the City of Santa Aha real property
located on the north side of West Sixth Street, between Shelton and
Flower Streets, and designated as Parcel No. G.A. 401-199, for a
consideration of $11,500.00; and
~EREAS, ADOLPH JOSEPH NIEBLAS and VIVIAN B. NIEBLAS have
executed a deed dated January 4, 19~5, conveying to the City of Santa
Ana real property located on the north side of West Sixth Street,
between Shelton and Flower Streets, and designated as Parcel No.
G.A. 401-201, for a consideration of $15,000.00; and
~4EREAS, '£HE~;~ ANDERSON and CLARENCE ANDERSON have executed
a deed dated January 9, 1965, conveying to the City of Santa Aha real
property located on the north side of West Sixth Street, between
Shelton and Flower Streets, and designated as Parcel No. G.A. 401-200,
for a consideration of $11,500.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 'l~at the I4ayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Real Property Contracts for the City; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. ~ornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon.
'I~e Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue his
warrants in the amounts specified above to the grantors or their
assigns and to deliver each warrant as directed by said Department
of Real Property Services to the grantor or his assigns when the City
has received title to the parcel of real property conveyed by said
grantor as hereinabove set out.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of February, 1965.
