BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND HODGES BUILDING
CORPORATION AND ACCEPTING A DEED FROM INTERNATIONAL
UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS, LOCAL 12, ALL WITH
NO CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, HODGES BUILDING CORPORATION has delivered to the
City a deed dated February 18, 1965, conveying vehicular access
rights to Grand Avenue over the lands lying Westerly of the Easterly
line of the Northerly 40.00 feet of Lot 1, of Tract 4475, as shown
on a map thereof, recorded in Book 171, pages 25 to 27, Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California, in exchange for a quit-
claim deed from the City quitclaiming vehicular access rights to
Grand Avenue at a different location~ and
WHEREAS, the INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS,
LOCAE 12, has delivered to the City a deed dated January 26, 1965,
conveying an easement for street purposes at the southeast corner of
Bolsa Avenue and Mountain View Street and an easement for alley
purposes running east from Mountain View Street, south of Bolsa Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, all of said transactions are without cash consideration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
quitclaiming to HODGES BUILDING CORPORATION vehicular access rights
to Grand Avenue from the lands lying Westerly of the Northerly 25.00
feet of the Southerly 45.00 feet of that portion of Lot 1,
Tract 4475, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 171, pages
25 to 27, records of Orange County, California, and deliver the same
to HODGES BUILDING CORPORATION, 820 South Grand Avenue, Santa Ana,
California, 92701;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts
said grant deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of March, 1965.
