DEEDS BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA AND TO OWNERS OF RECORD WITH NO CASH
CONSIDERATION AND TO CHARLES W. BISHOP IN CONSIDERATION
OF THE SUM OF $333.75
WHEREAS, heretofore the owners of certain property on the east
side of Fairview Street, south of Trask Avenue, dedicated to the
City vehicular access rights to Fairview Street and the present owners
have now requested access rights at said location which the City has
determined should be granted; and
WHEREAS, the City is the holder of a lease to certain property
west of Glassell Street, north of Santiago Creek, which property the
State of California desires for freeway purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain property at the
northwest corner of Edinger and Orange Avenues which has been declared
surplus and of no further use to the City and is of value only to
the adjacent land owners, CHARLES W. BISHOP and EVELYN M. BISHOP,who
have expressed their desire to purchase the same for $333.75 through
Escrow No. 52927-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
quitclaiming IN SEVERALTY TO THE VARIOUS OWNERS OF THE UNDERLYING FEE,
AS THEIR RESPECTIVE INTERESTS MAY APPEAR OF RECORD, vehicular access
rights to Fairview Street, south of Trask Avenue, and deliver the
same to Fairview Development, 224 North Glassell, Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed quit-
claiming all right, title and interest in and to that land leased by
the City of Santa Ana which lies west of Glassell Street and north of
Santiago Creek, to the State of California, and deliver the same to
the grantee together with a certified copy of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute said escrow instructions for Escrow No. 52927-C with Security
Title Insurance Company; and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed quitclaiming to
CHARLES W. BISHOP and EVELYN M. BISHOP the City's interest in that
certain property at the northwest corner of Edinger and Orange Avenues
and deliver the same into said escrow.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of March, 1965.
