THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND DENYING APPEAL
ON VARIANCE NO. 2093 FILED BY SAMUEL ROSEN
& SONS
WI4EREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning
Commission granted, subject to certain conditions, a variance on
Variance Application No. 2093, filed by SAMUEL ROSEN & SONS, to
permit the construction of a free standing advertising sign in
the C-2 District located in the vicinity of 1420 St. Gertrude
Place, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, Appeal Application No. 155 was duly filed by the
applicant requesting the deletion of Conditions No. 1 and No. 2
imposed by the Planning Commission in their approval of said
variance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after hearing, has determined
that the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission in the
granting of said Variance should remain in effect, and that Appeal
Application No. 155 should be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That, based upon the Finding
of FactS of the Planning Commission, the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana does hereby affirm the decision of the Planning Commission
and Appeal Application No. 155, filed by S~UEL ROSEN & SONS, is
hereby DENIED.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1965.
