CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF
THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL 6,
1965
WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance NS-783 called a Special
Bond Election to be held in the City of Santa Ana on April 6, 1965,
and said Bond Election was duly consolidated with the statewide
General Election held upon the same date; and
WHEREAS, the City Bond proposition voted upon at said Special
Bond Election was as follows, to-wit:

: ACQUISITION BONDS: Shall the City of : : :
: Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness : 'YES : :
: in the principal sum of $2,400,000 for : : :
: the acquisition by said city of a : : :
: certain municipal improvement, to wit: : : :
: real property for civic center site : : :
: purposes and for streets in and about : NO : :
: said site? : : :
and
WHEREAS, a copy of the record as entered on the Minutes of
said City Council showing the result of the canvass of the returns of
said Special Bond Election and the absentee votes cast thereat has
been found, declared, and officially adopted as set forth by said
City Council in Resolution 65-61.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:
Section 2: That said Proposition failed to receive the
affirmative votes of two-thirds of the electors voting on said
Proposition and said Bond Proposition is hereby declared to have
failed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the 13th day of April,
1965, for the purpose of canvassing the returns of said Election.

was regularly introduced to said Council at its adjourned regular
meeting held on the 13th day of April, 1965, and was at said meeting
