AND GARNSEY STREETS BETWEEN SIXTH AND EIGHTH
STREETS AND A 15-FOOT ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND
WEST BETWEEN PARTON AND GARNSEY STREETS
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Planning Commission for
vacation of the public streets hereinbelow described to provide
area for Civic Center development, the City Council adopted
Resolution 65-60 which was duly published and posted along the public
ways hereinbelow described together with notice of public hearing,
which hearing has been regularly held before the City Council and
said Council has determined that said public streets and alley should
be vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby finds that those portions of Garnsey and
Patton Streets and the 15-foot alley herein described are unnecessary
for present or prospective street purposes and the City Council
hereby makes its order vacating and abandoning for street purposes
the public streets and 15-foot alley in the City of Santa Aha, County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Those portions of Parton Street and Garnsey Street bounded
northerly by a line parallel with and 55.00 feet south, measured
at right angles from the monumented center line of Eighth Street
and bounded southerly by a line parallel with and 30.00 feet
north, measured at right angles from the center line of Sixth
Street; and
That certain 15-foot alley bounded northerly by the south line
of Lots 1 through 5 of Visel's Addition, as recorded in Book 3,
Page 17, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of June, 1965.
