ON SEVENTEENTH STREET BETWEEN GARNSEY AND
DURANT STREETS AND PROHIBITING PARKING IN SAID AREA
WHEREAS, Seventeenth Street is one of the major arterials
in the City of Santa Ana carrying very heavy volumes of traffic;
and
WHERF2%S, considerable delay is caused wherever a vehicle
has to wait in a traffic lane for an opportunity to make a left
turn; and
WHEREAS, between Garnsey and Durant Streets there are many
cars making left turns.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Seventeenth Street
between Garnsey and Durant Streets shall be channelized to provide
storage for left turns, and for this purpose stopping, standing,
and parking of vehicles shall be prohibited at all times along both
curbs of Seventeenth Street between Garnsey and Durant Streets.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
effect on January 3, 1966.
That this Resolution shall take
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of September, 1965.
