PORTION OF BIRCH STRKET BETWEEN EIGHTH AND
TENTH STREETS
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Planning Department and the
Department of Public Works, Resolution 65-59 was adopted giving
notice of intention to vacate certain street right Of way and giving
notice of public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, on May 3rd, 1965, the time set for said public hearing,
said hearing was continued to June 7, 1965, and on said date was again
continued to September 7, 1965, when said public hearing was duly held
on both published and posted notices as required by law, and, after
hearing, the City Council determined that said right of way should be
vacated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby find that the portion of Birch Street
between Eighth and Tenth Streets is unnecessary for present or
prospective street purposes and does hereby make its order abandoning
and vacating that certain street easement in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State Of California, described as:
The easterly 10 feet of Lot 8 in Block B and the westerly 10 feet
of Lot 14 in Block A of the Santa Aha Investment Company Tract
No. 2, Hathaway's Addition to the City of Santa Ana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of September, 1965.
