RESOLUTION DETER~iINING THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY REQUIRE IMPROVEMENT WORK, AND ORDERING
WORK, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 229, SANTA ANA,CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, Calif-
ornia did, on August 2, 1965, in adopting its Resolutions No. 65-118
and 65-119 in this improvement district, order that a public hearin~
be held on Tuesday, September __7__, 1965 at 7:30 o'Clock P.M. ~
in the Council Chambers in the ~i~ Hall in said City of Santa Aha,
concurrently with the protest hearing under its said Resolution of
Intention No. 65-119, for the purpose of finding and determining
whether the public convenience and necessity require the improve-
ments proposed to be constructed as described in said Resolution
of Intention No. 65-119; and
lrHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said Resolution No.
65-118 and of said Resolution of Intention No. 65-119 by mailing,
posting and publication was given in the t~m~, form and manner as
required by law, as shown by the affidavits of mailing, posting and
publication on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council of
said City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, protests or objections, in writing or otherwise,
made by the owners of more than half of the area of the property to
be assessed for said improvements against the proposed work and
improvement, the extent of the district to be assessed, or the grades
to which said work is proposed to be done, have not been made or
presented up to the hour set for hearing in and by said Resolution
of Intention No. 65-119, and no other person appeared at said public
hearings and made objection that the public convenience and
necessity did not require such improvement; and
WHERF2kS, said City Council received testimony from the
Director of Public Works of said City of Santa Aha that said pro-
posed work and improvement in the assessment district proposed to
be assessed for such work and improvement was necessary as a health
measure, would furnish sanitary sewage disposal services to all of
the property within said proposed improvement district, would be of
a benefit to all of said property within said proposed improvement
district as a health measure, and that the public convenience and
necessity require such improvement.
N~4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, in regular session assembled this
~ay of September, 1965, that said City Council hereby finds
rmines that said proposed work and improvement is feasible,
and that the public interest, convenience and necessity require such
improvement, and that all protests, both oral and in writing, to the
doing of said work be and the same hereby are overruled and denied.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said City Council hereby orders
that the work and improvement as set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 65-119 passed and adopted by said City
Council on the 2nd day of August, 1965, and in the plans and speci-
fications therein referred to and adopted, be done in the manner
described in and provided by said resolution of intention and said
plans and specifications.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries of the assess-
ment district, and the grades to which said work and improvement

are to be constructed shall be those set forth and described in said
Resolution of Intention No. 65-119, in the plans and specifications
therein referred to, and in the plat or map of said assessment
district therein referred to, reference to which is hereby made for
all further particulars.
