CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, ELIAS C. DELGADO and MARY DELGADO have delivered to
the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Western
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $3,585.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870519-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, GLEN W. WALTERMIRE and MARGARET R. WALTERMIRE have
delivered to the City a deed dated August 18, 1965, conveying ease-
ments for street purposes at the northeast corner of Eighth Street
and Pacific Avenue in consideration of the sum of $2,785.00 and
certain remedial work to be done by the City; said transaction is to
be handled through Escrow No. 53762-C with Security Title Insurance
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, NORRIS I. MACKEL and LOIS V. MACKEL have delivered
to the City a deed dated August 31, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, west of Pacific
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $2,145.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 872590-hrb with First American Title Insurance ~ Trust
Company, Santa Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, CONSTANTINO CENDEJAS, JR. and RAQUEL CENDEJAS have
delivered to the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an
easement for street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east
of Western Avenue,in consideration of the sum of $690.00 and certain
remedial work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be
handled through Escrow No. 870512-hrb with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, JOE C. RUIZ and EVANGELINA O. RUIZ have delivered to
the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, at Western
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $805.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the city; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870511-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, MANUEL F. FELIX and EDILIA G. FELIX have delivered to
the City a deed dated August 31, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, west of Pacific
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $1,500.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 872580-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, ~UtNUEL C. RODRIGUEZ has delivered to the City a deed
dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for street purposes
on the north side Of Eighth Street, east of Raitt Street, in consider-
ation of the sum of $780.00 and certain remedial work to be done by
the City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 870524-
hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, NORMAN BURGESS and CARRIE M. BURGESS have delivered
to the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Western
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $900.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870526-hrb with First American Title Insurance and Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, GILBERT RANGEL and DOLORES G. RANGEL have delivered
to the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement
for street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of Raitt
Street, in consideration of the sum of $790.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870523-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, AMPARO P. SOLIS has delivered to the City a deed dated
September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for street purposes on the
north side of Eighth Street, east of Raitt Street, in consideration
of the sum of $790.00 and certain remedial work to be done by the
City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 870525-hrb
with First American Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, MARIA MONTEVERDE and ARTHUR E. MONTEVERDE have delivered
to the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of Western
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $1,085.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870513-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, SPERGEON R. TAYLOR and ELEANOR G. TAYLOR have delivered
to the City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the south side of Eighth Street, east of Western
Avenue, in consideration of the sum of $2,705.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870517-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, DANIEL McCLAIN and CELESTINA M. McCLAIN have delivered
to the City a deed dated September 28, 1965, conveying an easement for
street purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, east of Raitt
Street, in consideration of the sum of $830.00 and certain remedial
work to be done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through
Escrow No. 870522-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, PETE ESCOTO and HELEN ESCOTO have delivered to the
City a deed dated September 16, 1965, conveying an easement for street
purposes on the north side of Eighth Street, at Western Avenue, in
consideration of the sum of $815.00 and certain remedial work to be
done by the City; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
No. 870520-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, a body politic
and corporate, has delivered to the City a deed dated August 31, 1965,
conveying to the City an easement for underground pipeline on the
north side of Alton Street, west of the Orange County Flood Control
Drainage Channel, in consideration of the sum of $702.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
Ana accepts said deeds and Carl J. Thornton, the ~ity's designated
agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of October, 1965.
