HomeMy WebLinkAbout65-169RESOLUTION 65-169 APPROVING ~4AP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE STREET RIGHT OF WAY, KNOWN AS MANTLE STREET, SOUTH OF TWENTY-SECOND STREET, GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 65-156 WHEREAS, a request for the vacation of certain street right of way south of Twenty-Second Street, known as Mantle Street, has been received by the Planning Department and The Department of Public Works, and the Planning Commission has recommended said vacation in order to facilitate future property development and consistent street alignment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: %~at the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed to be vacated. The City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (§~8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that certain street right of way south of Twenty-Second Street known as Mantle Street in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: That portion of Mantle Street as shown on Tract No. 3902, recorded in Book 217, pages 15 and 16, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 117 as shown on said Tract No. 3902 thence North 0° 08' 27" East 77.53 feet to a point of cusp with a non-tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 50.00 feet, the radial to said curve at said point bears South 37° 13' 36" East; thence Southwesterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 36° 58' 16" an arc distance of 32.26 feet to a point on a non-tangent line; thence South 0o08'27'' West 67.19 feet; thence South 89° 42' 19" East 30.00 feet. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That December 6, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution once in the Register, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices of Street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street stating the passage of this Resolution of intention to vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution 65-156 is hereby rescinded.
