COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE
WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY
FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPM~
OF CERTAIN STREETS
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets,
and
W~S, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the
Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend
funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for
Aid to any City in the improvement, construction or repair of a street
within a City, and
W74RREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action,
provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the
Fiscal Year 1966-67 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within
the incorporated cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County
Arterial Highway Financing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Santa Aha hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
to allocate to said City from County funds the amount of $886,000, said
amount to be matched by funds from said City, to be used to aid said City
in the improvement of certain streets as follows:

Said improvements are to be in accordance with the attached project statements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights
of way, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa
Aha agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highway Financing Program;
and further agrees that its shares of the cost of improvement will be avail-
able for the Fiscal Year 1966-67.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha
at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of December, 1965o
