QUITCLAIM DEED BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND
RESCINDING A PORTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 62-3 AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 62-9
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Santa
Aha has determined that the Delhi Drainage District "West Ditch",
which lies between Sunflower Avenue and Talbert Avenue in the City of
Santa Ana, is no longer in use and is unnecessary for drainage
purposes; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Santa Ana
should execute a quitclaim deed to the owners of property through
which said "West Ditch" passes, quitclaiming to said owners any right,
title or interest that the City may have in said "West Ditch".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed quit-
as to an undivided half interest and JOSEPH R. CALLENS as t9 am
any interest of the City of Santa Aha in that portion of the Delhi
Drainage District "West Ditch", which lies within the following
described property:
That portion of the land allotted to James McFadden in
decree of partition of Rancho Santiago de Santa Aha,
recorded in Book "B", Judgments of the Seventeenth Judicial
District Court of California, said land being located in the
County of Orange, State of California, and described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the land conveyed to
Isaac Hickey by deed recorded January 21, 1874, in Book 27,
Page 448 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California;
thence North 40 chains; thence East 10 chains; thence South
40 chains; thence West 10 chains to the point of beginning,
and deliver the same to said owners.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That that portion of Resolution NO.
62-3 authorizing execution of a quitclaim deed to VIRGINIE CALLENS,
also known as VIRGINIA CALLENS, MARY GISLER and WALTER GISLER, and
Res.9~utio___n_N~9~.,_~i~.,~re hereby rescinded.
