SUPERVISORS TO APPROVE SPECIAL COUNTY CLERK
SERVICES IN THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL SANTA ANA
CITY ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha has called a Special Bond
Election to be held on the 13th day of March, 1962, and in the holding
of the same it will be necessary to have available to the City lists
of all qualified registered electors eligible to vote in said election,
and it will be necessary to mail sample ballots to said qualified
electors; and
WHEREAS, the County Clerk of Orange County, in the performance
of his duty as Registrar of Voters, maintains lists of all registered
voters, and the County of Orange has the equipment to duplicate said
lists and to transfer the names and addresses of registered electors
to envelopes for mailing to said electors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, hereby requests the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Orange, California, to permit the County
Clerk of said County to render services to the City of Santa Aha in
the conducting of said Special Bond Election by preparing four (4)
sets of indexes of registered electors qualified to vote in said
election at three cents per name, and by the addressing of approxi-
mately 41,000 envelopes, one to each registered elector for the
mailing of sample ballots to said electors, at the rate of one cent
per name. Said City Council is informed that the rates herein
contained are those presently fixed by the County of Orange for the
rendering of this service, and for and on behalf of the City agrees
to pay the same for said services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City cf Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of February, 1962.
