HomeMy WebLinkAbout62-041RESOLUTION NO. 62-41 ACCEPTING DEED FROM R. E. LOGUE IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYI~ENT OF $9,000.00 AND A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO SAID R. E. LOGUE FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SAID QUITCLAIM DEED WHEREAS, R. E. LOGUE, a widower, has presented to the City a deed dated February 14, 1962, conveying a parcel of real property for Fairview Street, North of Ninth Street, in consideration of the payment of $9,000.00 and a quitclaim deed from the City quitclaiming to him certain small parcels of real property adjoining his property; and WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 308727 MGL, Sr. with Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, the City has determined to accept said deed and to execute a quitclaim deed for said small parcels of real property to R. E. LOGUE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana accepts said deed dated February 14, 1962, from R. E. LOGUE, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby directed to execute a quitclaim deed quitclaiming to R. E. LOGUE any right, title or interest that the City may have in said parcels of real property described as follows: Those portions of Lot 2 of Tract No. 19, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in book 9, page 23, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said Lot 2, a distance of 75 feet Northeasterly from the Southeast corner of said lot; thence Northeasterly along said Easterly line, 50 feet; thence Westerly, parallel with the Southerly line of said lot, a distance of 165 feet; thence Southwesterly, parallel with the Easterly line of said Lot, a distance of 50 feet; thence Easterly, parallel with the Southerly line of said Lot, a distance of 165 feet to the point of beginning. -1- and to EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion thereof lying within a strip of land 100.00 feet in width, the center line of which is described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the center line of King Street, 50.00 feet wide, with the center line of Eighth Street, as shown on a Licensed Surveyor's map recorded in Book 22, Page 37, Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County and running thence North 62° 30' West 20.00 feet; thence North 27° 30' East 321.59 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly having a radius of 1000.00 feet; thence Northerly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 46° 00' 00" a distance of 802.85 feet to a tangent line; thence North 18° 30' West along said tangent line 175.07 feet, deliver the same to said R.
